How do you guys feel about starting a book club? I don't read all that often, but there are some books that I really want to read, and summer is the perfect time to enjoy a couple of books. The idea of a book club came to me this morning. I was thinking that every week through June, July, and August there will be an assigned book, and then on Sunday I'll write a post about my impression of the book, and then we can all discuss it in the comments section.
     There are 14 Sundays, so we would need to pick out 14 books. Let me know if you're interested in this idea and also if you have any book suggestions. You can leave your own ideas in the comments or email me at esmith55987@gmail.com.

    This sounds like a great idea! I'd find it lovely if we could read a Sherlock Holmes book or a romance. I'd really like discussing the first two books of The Selection series, but the third one is yet to come out ; A ;

    ohh this sounds fun. I pretty much read anything so I'm interested in doing this. one book i would absolutely recommend is silver linings playbook, HEAPS better than the movie

    I realize I'm late to the party... As in, way late, but I was thinking about doing a book club, too. This would be really neat and I'd love to join in on this, so I'll keep my eyes peeled. As for suggestions on books, I haven't been keeping up to date with what's out there or what everyone would be into. "The Fault in Our Stars" has been getting a lot of attention, and I saw someone reading "Just Listen". I've been wanting to read "A Thousand Splendid Suns", too. && I also second the Holmes book idea. Has anyone heard of the Blue Bloods series? I'm trying to think of more, orz. ;w;

    yes! :) i have tons of books that i have piled up on my shelf and maybe we could do like a book of your own choice for one week and tell each other about it, and find out about new books :D (can't wait for summer ahhh)

    All internet book clubs that I've joined have talked about TFIOS, but since I like Looking For Alaska better, I've become sort of jealous, so I'd adore to read that one with the club!
