Dear Diary

Dear Diary,
4:53 PM  6/17/13

This week was pretty cool I guess. Yesterday was fun, but I'm having a hard time remembering anything else I've done. This is me trying to concentrate..... hold on. On Monday I came back from my grandma's house. Oh, and then I watched many movies. I was in a movie kick this week.. but it slowly progressed into a Scott Pilgrim vs The World marathon. If you haven't seen Scott Pilgrim vs The World, THEN YOU MUST PUT IT ON YOUR TO-DO LIST FOR THE NEAR FUTURE. It is so funny. I never rewatch movies, but this movie actually just gets better every time I watch it.

I think I probably just slept through most of Tuesday. On Wednesday, I got all dressed up but I don't think I actually did anything. JK, I pitied Summer and McKennah into hanging out with me. We went to Zesto's, this local ice cream stand/shop (?), and I got a chocolate shake. Summer got a hot fudge sundae, and McKennah had a blue raspberry dip cone with crunchies on it. After typing that sentence, I am now in desperate need of ice cream.

On Thursday, I hung out with a boy. (I KNOW, weird? Right.) That was cool I guess. I was hoping we could just sit in an air conditioned cafe and talk, but instead we hung out at the levee. Obviously my telepathy skills are lacking. It was okay though because it wasn't very humid on Thursday. We sat on a picnic table and discussed life for a good two hours and then went for a walk. We wound up at this really nice book store, and I showed him An Abundance of Katherines and told him all about how him and the main character are very similar. Then he took me home, I watched Scott Pilgrim vs The World with Tyler, and then soon headed to The Purge, or as it is more properly titled, The Most Stupid and Boring Movie Ever  Wow What a Waste of Twenty-Four Bucks.

On Friday, I ate tacos. On Saturday, I think I ate more tacos. Yesterday I went to a very nice birthday party. The best part is that the girl of whose birthday is in question used to be my arch nemesis. Now we're sort of buddies. I mostly went to accompany Summer though, so that was nice. Summer's boyfriend also came, and though I basically made fun of him the whole time, I've decided that he is a very nice person. All in all, I would say it was a pretty nice week. My cousin is staying with us now, and tonight we are going out to my grandma's cottage for a camp fire! I'm sure there will be lots of nice diary posts to come. I have my fingers crossed for these next few weeks!

  4. Scott Pilgrim is brilliant. And yes, the purge was not good. but omg everyone here talks about how it's the scariest movie ever. it wasn't scary at all!! it was boring and very predictable. the only good thing about the movie was that the main "bad guy" was a cutie pie!

I have heard many mixed reviews of the purge! I don't know if i really want to waste money to see it now since theaters are so expensive these days!

PS: You made me want ice cream, and tacos.
